Top ten of my auto-buy authors

Top Ten Tuesday is hosted by the lovely girls at The Broke and the Bookish. This Tuesday it's all about our favorite authors, or just authors we've read a lot of books from!
This Tuesday it's all about our favorite authors, I really don't have that many as I stated in my last Top Ten Tuesday post but I have some! Since I didn't have ten I included some of my previous auto-buy authors with was crossed of the list because I didn't like their other books.

Rainbow Rowell
After reading and loving Attachments Rainbow Rowell quickly became an auto-buy author, I ordered Fangirl soon after it's release and preordered Landline as soon as I was able to. I've also read Eleanor & Park but it's my least favorite of the bunch.
Since Carry On is releasing in October I'm going to be preordering it soon!

Rosamund Hodge
I know it's quite quick to say Rosamund Hodge is one of my auto-buy authors since I've only read a single book from her, and a novella, but I love her writing style and I can't wait to read Crimson Bound

J.K. Rowling
Do I really have to say anything? I've yet to get The Silkworm and Very Good Lives but my parents usually buy me her books as gifts so I don't actually buy them myself but they're definitely on my wishlist and I want them all!

Sarah Cross
Sarah has written one of my all time favorite series called Beau Rivage it's fairytale retellings where every character is part of a curse, every fairytale is basically included in the books and I really wish more people would read them!

Dan Brown
Well, I've accumulated every book he's written without knowing what they're about - I've also read all of them but that's another story. He's probably one of the only authors, aside from J.K. Rowling, where I buy books without knowing anything about them.

Sandy Hall
Yes, I've only read a single book by her; A Little Something Different but it's one of the cutest books I've ever read and I can't wait to read her new book Signs Point to Yes

Jessica Thompson
Her books have the cutest covers and I got Paper Swans for Christmas and I bought her two other books shortly after - so definitely auto-buy.

Previous auto-buy authors:

John Green
Well, after reading The Fault in Our Stars I got all his other books, I only have Paper Towns left but since all his other books disappointed me he's off my auto-buy list.

Jennifer E. Smith
I absolutely loved The Statistical Probability of Love at First Sight, I practically ordered her two other books This is What Happy Looks Like and The Geography of You and Me when I'd finished it. I was really disappointed in her other books so I don't know whether to buy, or even read, her new release.

Katie Cotugno
How to Love was one of my favorite books of 2014 and I preordered 99 Days the moment I found out about it - now having read 99 Days I really regret that. I didn't enjoy it, I didn't like the characters at all and I was definitely disappointed

Who are some of your auto-buy authors?

  1. Great list! I put J.K. Rowling on mine too, though I don't have her more adult books. I have to agree about John Green, I adored 'The Fault In Our Stars' but didn't overly love 'Paper Towns' or 'Will Grayson, Will Grayson'.

Check out my Top Ten Tuesday list!

Also, please take the time to enter my giveaway!

  3. Love Rainbow! I was going to put JKR on mine but I wasn't impressed with the casual vacancy. I know what you mean about John though. TFIOS was much better than the others.

  4. I liked Fangirl a lot- and John Green maybe because of Paper Towns, it looks like I'd like but I have not read it yet (or seen the movie), so not sure...
