Monthly wrap up for September, October & November!

November wrap up
Apparently I've forgotten to make a monthly wrap up for both September and October - so here you go; a 3-month wrap up, all in one!

Books read

September
  1. The Carrie Diaries (The Carrie Diaries, #1) by Candace Bushnell
  2. Isla and the Happily Ever After (Anna and the French Kiss, #3) by Stephanie Perkins
  3. Counting Stars by Keris Stainton ★ (review)
  4. A Room of One's Own by Virginia Woolf
I started studying comparative literature at the university so 4 books is not that bad in comparison to how much homework I had to do! I also found a love for Virginia Woolf this month and I've acquired the majority of her books since then...
The Carrie Diaries is basically my favorite tv-show so I couldn't wait to read it. Turns out the show is sooo much better than the series! I didn't like any of the characters and I just didn't get the same 'old'-times feel as I do watching the series.

October
  1. Prometheus by Aischylos
  2. King Oedipus by Sofokles
  3. Svøm med dem som drukner (Swim with those who drown) by Lars Mytting
  4. Medea by Euripides  (re-read)
  5. When I Was Me by Hilary Freeman ★ (review)
  6. Beowulf by anonymous
  7. The ACB of Honora Lee by Kate De Goldi ★ (review)
  8. Everyman by anonymous
  9. You (You, #1) by Caroline Kepnes ★ (audiobook)
  10. George by Alex Gino ★ (audiobook)
  11. Mrs. Dalloway by Virginia Woolf
  12. The Shamer's Daughter by Lene Kaaberbøl
Definitely did a lot better reading wise in October than in September! I read a bunch of plays and a bit of medieval literature since it was a class I took and I had to read 5 books from medieval times and 5 books from ancient times - I quite liked everything I read!
I also found my love for audiobooks once I again, as I do once in a while!

November
  1. Odes by Horats
  2. Everything, Everything by Nicola Yoon
  3. Lolita by Vladimir Nabokov
  4. Fight Club by Chuck Palaniuk
  5. Cloud 9 by Alex Campbell ★ (review)
  6. Lily and the Christmas Wish by Keris Stainton  (review to come)
  7. Anything That isn't This by Chris Priestly  (review)
  8. I nærheden (Nearby) by Peter Hugge
  9. The Christmas Box (The Christmas Box, #1) by Richard Paul Evans
November! Quite a hectic month to be honest. I decided to take a break from studying so I'm currently looking for a job! I might apply for the same course in a year or two or I might choose something different. I just want to do something else!
Since I got a bunch of freetime I decided to start participating in our local book club for young adults and I also started singing in our church choir again! I didn't manage to read as much as I wanted, but since I've read almost 600 pages in Dublin (or Princes of Ireland) I'm quite happy with what I managed to get through!

Novellas and short stories read

September
  1. Heart of Darkness by Joseph Conrad
  2. The Dead by James Joyce
  3. The Murders in the Rue Morgue by Edgar Allan Poe
October
  1. Sildig Opvaagnen by St. St. Blicher
  2. Odour of Chrysanthemums by D.H. Lawrence
  3. The Crocodile by Fyodor Dostoyevsky
  4. Metamorphosis by Franz Kafka
  5. The Other Boat by E.M. Forster
  6. The Short and Happy Life of Francis Macomber by Ernest Hemingway
  7. A Rose for Emily by William Faulkner

November
  1. The Midnight Hour by Andrea L. Wells ★ (review)
  2. Tales from Christmas Wood by Suzy Senior (children's book)

Since I dropped out of university I probably won't read that many novellas or short stories as I did in September and October - since I don't really read short stories or novellas on my own.

I'm finally up to speed with my monthly wrap ups and I have some different things planned for December! It's my favorite time of year so look forward to some exciting times!
