Series I need to finish

I normally don't read series since I'm terrible at finishing them! I have a bunch of series I've started but never finished, I have a massive amount of series where I've read the first book but never continued and then there's some where I need a single book or I know I won't ever finish. I thought I'd make a list of all the series I need to finish, the ones I actually plan on finishing and might just have a single book left to do just that.

I think I prefer trilogies to bigger series or maybe duologies since I finish them quite fast - and I tend to actually finish duologies! But bigger series tend to not grab me and I can't see myself actually reading all those books but I just started the A Song of Ice and Fire series and I'm halfway through the Throne of Glass series!

When I made my list the first time I had a lot more series but I recently finished a bunch and I realized that I had no intention of actually continue some of the series so here's the list of all the series I actually want to finish.

Some of the series I really need to finish are:

Fairytale retellings
I seriously need to finish the Fairytale Retellings series by Jackson Pearce, I marathoned the first three books; Sisters Red, Sweetly and Fathomless but at the time the last one, Cold Spell, wasn't released. It's been released for quite a while now, a year or so, and I've tried reading it but I never got into it so I have to pick it up again - and hopefully soon! I love fairytale retellings and Sisters Red was actually my very first fairytale retelling.

Anna and the French Kiss
I read the first book in the Anna and the French Kiss series by Stephanie Perkins back in May this year and I received Lola and the Boy Next Door last month so now I just need Isla and the Happily Ever After to finish the trilogy!
I've received both Anna and Lola for review and I'm, hopefully, going to receive Isla for review as well. A publisher here in Denmark is publishing a Danish translation of each book which is why I can receive them for review.

The Dispossessed
In May I began The Dispossessed series by Page Morgan, I ran The Beautiful and the Cursed and I almost immediately began The Lovely and the Lost so I only have the last book in the series left; The Wondrous and the Wicked. It's an amazing series and I wish I'd never end! It's all about gargoyles and it's set in the late 1800's in Paris - what more can you ask for?

Mistborn
I had this idea that I'd marathon the Mistborn series by Brandon Sanderson (the first three books since it's the same characters) and I began reading The Final Empire in January, finished it, started A Well of Ascension and never finished it.. I think I read 70 pages because there were so many other books I'd rather read at the time so I need to pick the series up again!

The Edge of Never
The Edge of Never was my first, or one of my first, new adult book and I loved it. It's probably one of my favorite books and even though I have the sequel, The Edge of Always, lying on my shelf I haven't read it. It's been there for a year and I don't even want to read it but I need to finish the duology!

The Grisha
I'm seriously the worst, I read Shadow of Bone last year and even though I enjoyed it I never continued the series. I have Siege of Storm on my bookshelf but I fear I'll stop reading the series again after reading that one so I have to get my act together and just marathon the two last books and the short stories / novellas.

Cormoran Strike series
Since the last book (at least I believe it's the last book) in the Cormoran Strike series by Robert Galbraith is going to be released in October this year I want to read The Silkworm and then finish the series. I read The Cuckoo's Calling a couple of months ago and it was really good! I love mysteries once in a while and the fact that it's J.K. Rowling only make it better!

Sweep
I began the Sweep series by Cate Tiernan last year I believe and I read a single volume, which is 3 books, in a matter of days and it was sooo good but I had to wait for volume two and then when I received it I just put in on my shelf where it's been since. I really want to continue the series but I might wait 'till Fall since it's wiccan and it would be perfect! It scares me that it's a 15 book series though..

  1. The Grisha Trilogy is literally my favorite series of all time (along with Harry Potter) so I'm probably biased, but those books get better and better! I highly recommend finishing them =D I need to catch up with my Game of Thrones books, but those are so incredibly long, they take me forever to read.

    1. Well, I had high hopes and I was a little bit disappointed after reading Shadow and Bone but I'm just waiting for Ruin and Rising from the library and then I'll read the last two books and all the extra stories!
GoT are definitely a mouthful but they're so good and even though I've only read the first book I feel like I just know it's going to be incredibly epic. It's also easier to continue once you've started than to start in the first place!

    2. In my opinion, the books get better as the series goes on and Ruin and Rising was my favorite. However, I won't deny that my opinion was partially "ship-based" if you know what I mean xD haha. Many people were furious with the way Ruin and Rising ended but I was (and still am!) thrilled about it =) GoT definitely has an epic feel. I love the show too <3
